Heavens!!!It hasn"t stopped raining since 24th evening...the Republic Day celebrations have been a  damp squib...who in Heaven"s name would have thought the rains would prove to be such a spoil sport!!!throwing all celebrations and picnics and outdoors out of gear.

Kolkatans had been planning this holiday for months-oh!!the damn weather!!

So what will the Kolkatan starved of excitement and entertainment do now??

Oh,the gorom jilipi and jhaal murhi and tele bhaja is there of course!!not to forget the khichurhi...not to forget the hours of adda...the dropping of dada from the one-day series is another pointer to the fact that the Pawars that be are bent on keeping the Prince of Calcutta out of the Indian squad.....lest he become the highest scorer and become a threat to Dhoni anad Yuvi??

Old rivalries,politicking,leg-pulling have always dominated the Indian Cricket Team and there"s no escape from that.

Don"t know what the skies have in mind for Sunday???Otherwise will have to be cooped up in my one bed-room flat in this dingy hole here...
